Fiñana is a small village of 2070 inhabitants situated 71 kilometres from Almería and 100 from Granada. Its economy is essentially based on agriculture devoted to the growth of cereal, olive and
fruit trees. It is surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Sierra Nevada and the Los Filabres mountains.
Walking around in the village, you can appreciate the two most important cultures, namely Islam and Christianity. Still visible today are the remains of a Muslim castle, the Muslim water
tank and La Anunciación Church. Both cultures have also been fused in traditional dishes such as “Migas”, “Gachas” and “Zaramandoña”.
